About Me

Sarah Kroesser

Jewelry Designer & Gemologist

Sarah began her jewelry career working with fresh water pearls and semi-precious stones. While traveling in Brazil, she was introduced to metalsmithing by way of a stone seller. He brought her to meet the jewelers at WR Atelier in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, where she was kindly offered an apprenticeship under the former H. Stern graduates. She developed basic techniques and then began studying with Corina Seiferle in Ipanema, RJ.

After returning to the US, Sarah took courses at Mass Art with Peter Evonuk and worked for Michele Mercaldo in the South End of Boston. She took courses at Metalwerx & North Bennett Street School and began private study with a professor there. She has always been interested in Gemology and holds her Graduate Gemologist certificate from GIA. She currently designs and creates modern jewelry out of her home studio in Medford, MA outside of Boston where she lives with her husband and 2 children.

Sarah also holds masters degrees in Education and Clinical Social Work and works as the Director of Counseling at Berklee College of Music. She brings a thoughtful approach to jewelry design through her interest in humanity and the aesthetic expression of experiences.
